Owl Platform Deployment Tasks
Deployment of “No Parking” traffic safety cones 72 hours prior to operations at four sites
Multiple site reviews prior to installation day to review the site, qualify the homeowners and check for suitable ingress and egress for the truck boom
Complex hydraulic truck boom leveling and boom extension procedures on the day
Working at heights of approximately 35 - 50 feet on an extended boom platform
Avoiding high-tension electrical lines and wiring hazards at multiple locations
Battery-powered chainsaw removal of dead branches near installation zones
Battling our first eucalyptus tree, which eats drill bits and screws, with wet, spongy wood pulp - never again!
Piloting one drone into a tree and subsequently crashing to the ground unscathed, while another drone was swept into a nearby canyon by unseen winds. It was miraculously recovered by aligning the iPad crash video footage to pinpoint its final resting site.
