Express Service
For homeowners who want a Great Horned Owl platform designed and built by Carmel Owls but prefer not to wait for a possible Carmel Owls installation—or whose tree cannot be reached by Carmel Owls’ cherry picker—Carmel Owls offers an Express Service option.
With Express Service, the platform is installed by a third-party installer selected by the homeowner. Carmel Owls will build your owl platform to our standards. In most cases, homeowners use a local tree service company with a two- or three-person crew for a billable half-day installation.
Third-Party Installation
Full details can be found in the Express Service & Third-Party Installation of a Great Horned Owl Platform Agreement (PDF).
As part of Express Service, Carmel Owls will:
Review your grounds during an on-site inspection to identify suitable trees.
Design and build your custom owl platform.
Communicate installation details with an installer selected by the homeowner.
Be present on the day of installation and provide exterior lag screws in a range of lengths (based on your tree’s bark thickness).
Provide a custom two-axis level template for installing the platform tree mount, to ensure the platform is flat and level.
